Volunteer at the 57th Presidential Inauguration

On Monday January 21, 2013, the District of Columbia will host the 57th quadrennial Presidential Inauguration. On behalf of the District of Columbia Government, Serve DC – The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism, is recruiting volunteers to serve in various capacities over Inauguration Weekend, Saturday, January 19 through Monday, January 21, to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all District residents and visitors.

Inauguration Weekend volunteers will be activated on an as-needed basis, therefore Serve DC cannot guarantee specific tasks, duties or dates at this time. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Volunteer for MLK Day of Service - “Unite America in Service”

Saturday, January 19, Serve DC – The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism, Points of Light and Target invite you to attend the signature MLK Day national service project, "Unite America in Service," in Washington, DC.  Volunteers will show appreciation for those who serve our country by packing 100,000 care kits filled with necessities for US service members, wounded warriors, veterans and first responders. Volunteers ages 12- to 17-years-old are welcome with parents or legal guardians. Large groups are also welcome to join.
